Wednesday Lenten Gatherings: Noticing God
The season of Lent (the word “Lent” being an Anglo-Saxon word referring to the lengthening of days in the move from winter to spring) is a reflective and penitential season where Christians are challenged to examine their lives as they remember the suffering and sacrifice of Jesus on our behalf.
One opportunity for doing this is by taking part in our Wednesday Lenten gatherings, February 24-March 24. Our Lenten theme is “Noticing God” and our speakers will focus on discovering and developing one’s ability to notice the presence of God in our daily lives and routines. These services will be held each Wednesday at 7 p.m. and will include a psalm, a song, a featured speaker and an opportunity for reflection on what is shared. You’re invited to attend in person, and depending on volunteer availability, we will also live stream these gatherings if possible. Our speakers are:
- February 24 – Bob Tenglin
- March 3 – Desiree Robertson
- March 10 – Megan Herrold Sinchi
- March 17 – Jill Lind
- March 24 – Pia Restrepo
Please note: Due to current restrictions on large gatherings, we have limited availability for in-person attendance for these gatherings. Please sign up ahead of time. We will also follow all our COVID protocols (temperatures taken when you arrive, masks to be worn at all times and social distance maintained). More details on our reservation system for worship services, as well as our other safety protocols, are available here.
