Wednesday Lenten Gatherings: Who Are You, Jesus?
Join us for a series of weekly gatherings and engage the question “Who Are You, Jesus?” through the “I AM…” statements of Christ!
5 – 6pm: “Who Are You, Jesus?” (Fellowship Hall)
6 – 7pm: Soup-n-Bread Supper* (Fellowship Hall)
5 – 7:30pm: Silent Prayer & Meditation (Sanctuary)
On Ash Wednesday, March 2, we’ll also offer the imposition of ashes, communion, and prayers for healing in our Sanctuary during this time.
Each week, we’ll engage one of Jesus’s “I AM…” statements:
- “I am the bread of life” (John 6:25-51)
- “I am the light of the world” (John 8:12)
- “I am the door for the sheep / I am the good shepherd” (John 10:1-18)
- “I am the resurrection & the life” (John 11:1-44)
- “I am the way, the truth & the life” (John 14:6)
- “I am the true vine” (John 15:1-17)
The “Who Are You, Jesus?” gatherings in the Fellowship Hall will feature intergenerational activities and learning experiences specifically designed for children, youth and families. Those who choose to visit the Sanctuary will be provided with a reflection guide for that week’s Scripture passage.
These evenings are all designed with flexibility in mind. Come when you can and leave when you need to–even if it’s in the middle of an activity! Take advantage of all the evening has to offer or only whatever part fits your schedule that particular night! We look forward to fellowshipping with all of you!
*Sign up here to bring soup or help with clean up after our meal! The Soup-n-Bread Supper will be available for carryout, as well as for in-person dining. Carryout: To help minimize environmental impact, all are encouraged to bring & use their own reusable take-home containers (some will also be provided). Dine-in: Please remember that we all have different levels of comfortability when it comes to eating with others, socially distancing, etc. We ask all to respect and honor the concerns of your fellow diners! And please note, that at this time, we will continue to require everyone to wear masks, unless you are actively eating and drinking during our soup-n-bread supper.
