International Mission

Our denomination, the Evangelical Covenant Church, “desires to see more disciples among more populations in a more caring and just world.” Our church is committed to partnering with missionaries who are actively proclaiming the gospel in a number of cultural contexts and countries. We support and share a personal connection with the following missionaries:

Nils and Erika Clauson, supporting Community & Leadership Development in Mexico and partner liaison with CWRD, serving with the Evangelical Covenant Church.

Carl and Karen Groot, missionaries in Thailand, serving with the Evangelical Covenant Church.

Jim Gustafson, missionary to Thailand, serving with the Evangelical Covenant Church.

Eugenio and Pia Restrepo, Regional Coordinators for Latin America and the Caribbean, serving with the Evangelical Covenant Church.

Barbara and Steve Swanson, missionaries to Sweden, serving with the Evangelical Covenant Church.

Edgebrook Covenant Church also partners with several international ministries:

Covenant Kids Congo

Joining together with World Vision, our denomination and local Covenant churches like ours are partnering to see sustainable community development changing the lives of thousands through clean water, education, health, agriculture, economic development and advocacy in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Each year, Edgebrook Covenant Church puts together teams for World Vision’s Global 6K in May and the Turkey Trot, a neighborhood Thanksgiving Day 5K, to raise funds for communities in DR Congo through Covenant Kids Congo.

Covenant World Relief & Development

Covenant World Relief & Development has been the Evangelical Covenant Church’s response to human suffering and injustice in the world for more than 60 years. Through disaster relief and community development, we partner in the transformation of individuals, families and communities. Our mission is to join God in loving, serving and working together with the poor, the powerless and the marginalized. We conduct an annual giving campaign that benefits the work of CWRD.
